This is me and Ileana coming back from Samara last spring.. we stopped at an ANDE (her professional teachers organization) retreat spot up in the hills where they have cabinas and beautiful grounds with natural hot tubs and open spaces for weekends and just chillin' . I can't wait to get back and be with her again. She is a wonderful mujer sincera..

Fall is in the air

Well, it's that time of year again. What a wonderful, benign, enjoyable summer/fall season we have enjoyed here in beautiful B.C. the greatest place on earth, they say. Great food, (and not expensive) wonderful people, peacefulness, clean air, few extremes. Who could ask for more?

But, I miss my Novia, Ileana and can't wait to get back to Costa Rica. First, I have to drive a couple thousand miles down to California, get my "Inge" smog checked, visit some friends, buy stuff at Trader Joe's, store Inge someplace nice and safe, get a flight to San Jose, travel from San Diego back up to Los Angeles and try not to blow my budget (modest!) in light of the diminished purchase power of the "Loonie".. as Gilda used to say "it's always something"..

I'm Baaaaaak!!

Well, here I am again after all this time.. newblogger nearly 'blogged my mind', but I finally got to the right place in the haystack of help.. (what a mess).. and was directed somewhere so I could actually login and find my blogs.. get a dashboard and an update page... let's see how well this new engine hums.. I just might be able to start making entries again!! wow..
